www.nathanlarimer.com: I am an artist specializing in fine art, portraiture, and documentary photography, and I create personal and commissioned work that is exhibited nationwide. I am particularly interested in how people interact with and value our environment for sustenance, sport and recreation, and even communication and ritual. A dedicated outdoorsman, I was raised in the Mid-West, went to college in the Deep South, and am now based in Petaluma, California. I have both a BFA and MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Although my career could still be labeled as “emerging” I have a growing list of exhibitions, and in the spring of 2010 I published my first book of photographs entitled IMPRINT. Going forward, I hope to have a fruitful career as an educator, thinker, and visual translator of any glimmer of beauty I am fortunate enough to capture.
